Superb attorney

"Mr. Beekman was the third lawyer I went to to discuss my issues in my marriage. He was the only one that I felt like didn’t rush me and actually cared to help. I had him represent me and I truly could not have been happier. He was honest during the entire process and his prices were more fair than anyone else I met with."

THE GOAL OF DMSLI

DMSLI was founded by a New York trial lawyer who has spent the past two decades successfully litigating matrimonial cases in Long Island and the Five Boroughs. DMSLI was organized for the simple and expressed purpose of providing couples who are planning on separating or divorcing with a cost-effective, amicable, and solution-driven option to the alternative - a costly, contentious, emotionally taxing, and unpredictable divorce litigation.

In harmony with this statement, DMSLI endeavors to provide its clients with a streamlined mechanism and approach to reach a myriad of compromises to resolve their differences and disputes. These services are rendered under the guidance of an experienced and neutral third party attorney who has spent many years in the proverbial “trenches.”

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The DMSLI philosophy of providing couples with an alternative to the cut throat and self-interested gorilla warfare that plays out in courthouses on a daily basis was famously encouraged by none other than the 16th President of the United States when he eloquently stated as follows:

Discourage Litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser - in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough.

- Abraham Lincoln

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”

- Will Durant, The Story of Philosophy (1926)
